Why does freshman year of college suck

There are many college narratives of expectations unmet. For example, here at the University of Chicago, first-years are quickly prepped to. It sucks, because you feel like you're the only one in that situation. It seems like everyone around you is surrounded by friends and already. I am a college freshman now. I'm more than halfway through my first year. It sucks total ass bro. I mean, there is a pandemic happening.
